A young and aspiring artist, Franz became affiliated with the highest circles of the US-American society. He was a long-stay guest in some the most remarkable mansions of Palm Beach, played Tennis with John F. Kennedy, became Jackie Kennedy's favorite European painter, played golf with Henry Ford and dined with the Duke of Windsor.
He painted murals in Gianni Agnelli’s famous Villa Leopoldina at the Cote d’Azur, was invited for Christmas at the Rothschilds’ and taught Hedy Lamarr how to draw and paint.
